i purchased and set up a proxy last night, so far so good...

 

Actually my website is down now... What happened?

 

Rebooting, and install some software.

Server is going down on wednesday. All servers being placed on our new private network.

 

Hmmm... Notice of this would have been nice... Sign up for my hosting! BTW we will be down the next two days...

 

We only ordered the stuff today. It will result in better speeds.

 

So if my proxy site uses 1500 gigs of band. /month, thats ok right? You do also know that, the more bandwidth a site uses, the more it pushes the CPU and RAM? What are the server specs?

 

The proxy server specs are:

Dual opteron 246
2GB ram
300Gb hard drive for logs.

The ram will be upgraded if needed at any time.

 

my site id down. You said you will be moving to new network
so will it affect my site. should I change a new nameserver.
when will it be up again and will this be a regular downtime every wednesday ?

 

No, it won't be eveery wednesday.

There may be IP changes, but that shouldn't have much of an affect.

The daily downtime was the stat software was set to all 3 programs. So when it was time to upgrade, it started analyzing with all 3 programs causing alot of load and memory usage which caused the system to fail.

I have purchased managed admins to keep an eye on the system, and order reboots on any fails.

I have compansated the people who have complained with a support ticket.

 

I too opened a support ticket 8 hours back
