Well, I got a dedicated box and since I'm still far from getting the most of it I would like to offer hosting to fellow DPers. Pricing model is designed so newcomers can start their proxies Price is as follows: Payment fee: $0.3 (paypal fee) each time you send payment. Domains: $0.5 / domain /month Transfer: $0.14 / GB / month (recommended 10GB minimum) for PHP proxies $0.3 / GB / month if you run CGI proxies. Space: 150mb / domain (I don't think you need more than 10 mb/domain plus logs but if you need more space just ask me, I have plenty if you have good reasons.) All prices are prorrated so if you buy additional features on day 15 of your billing cycle you only pay half price. databases:0 (you don't need mysql for running proxies) Control panel: ISPconfig access: panel or FTP I will be giving free support for setting up your proxies. Sites reaching maximum bandwidth won't be suspended unless the traffic spike is huge (for example, if you pay for 10GB but you use 30GB on 1st day). Server runs on CentOS 4.5, Xeon 2.1 Ghz dual core, 100 mbit port Speed test: # wget http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test --01:23:12-- http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test => `100mb.test' Resolving cachefly.cachefly.net... 205.234.175.175 Connecting to cachefly.cachefly.net|205.234.175.175|:80... connected. I'm using this pricing model since there is no such thing as average use for a proxy. If you are just starting and unsure about how your proxies will do, you can start with 5GB/domain and expand your capacity only when you need it, so you keep your costs low while you develop your network.
