proxy , good business?

hello , I see many 11 year old kids wack on a php proxy. Then start getting 20$ a day in AdSense. From what I've heard proxies are a nightmare when it comes to getting good hosting that allows them due to there resources usage..

Can any fool get a domain , hosting , php script and start making some fair money with proxies?

 

Not exactly. You need to know how to tap into the web based proxy using audience.

Like any other site SURE, if you put enough effort in it to advertise the whole thing.
Don't expect to set it up and wake up the next morning with $20 in your adsense account
Besides the proxy market is pretty crowded these days, it's better to look for something else.

there's so many of them too...I was thinking of some type of avatar site.. I got like 10k avatars and about 3k funny pictures..

 

Depends on your interests.
Like exe says a directory can be a good earner if you put efforts in it.
Or a new dating site with a unique idea (niche if possible)

I prefer not to go for proxy anymore becuause i still remember LayeredTech shutdown by server becuase of phising thing someone acessed some site through and did something illegal and my server and then they turned of my server..

How about if you physically host the server yourself and pay for some bandwith?

Where does the income come from with proxies? Is it all adsense based? Anyone make more then $20 a day with a proxy site?

 

Adsense , lots of people are making 30 bux a day +

 

Don't go proxy if you don't plan to pay the hosting bills. I ran a proxy and sure I was making 10-20 dollars a day on adsense but yeek! the bills were steep!

It's awesome, I am getting $5-10 in adsense a day I am glad I upgraded my hosting plan and got a proxy. Easiest money I have ever made.

 

It's good if your business plan is to get them making some steady money, then turn right around and sell them, because for whatever reason there is a high demand. If you sell them, you minimze your hosting costs as you will only hold onto the site(s) for around 2 months.

Yep, theres an auto installer. This proxy takes for ever to load, because theres about 200kb of comments.
