I wanna set up a PHProxy, and my host gives me 30 GB/month bandwidth.
Is this enough? Should I get a new host?

CGI Proxy uses little bandwidth, but a LOT of CPU power.

PhProxy uses a lot of bandwidth (definitely more than 30GB if your proxy gets even average traffic) but very little CPU power.

Check with your host about whether they allow proxies.

30GB is nothing for a proxy website unless you don't have a single user to it:D

PhProxy would be the best choice as its more stable and secured.
Do opt for Directadmin panel rather than going for cpanel or others as it would be good. if you go for cpanle it eats up your ram. Always go for dedicated servers if you are decided to promote it well as it turns in to good traffic (if you are successful)

If your site will be quite popular that bandwidth is not enough

PHP Proxy use more bandwidth but high CPU usage
I prefer php proxies , easy to setup and implement templates

anyway 30 GB I think it's not enough , the problem is many proxy users use proxy for watching blocked porn sites or download x movies which kill the server bandwidth

in my view 30 gig bandwidth is more than enough if you are starting a proxy.. if you get traffic then increase it..

It's enough to start off with but you'll probably upgrade it soon if you promote your site

No, 30gb is not enough for CGI or PHP Proxy.

    I reccomend a VPS with atleast 300gb.

If you want to make good money from your proxy, then you will need a lot of traffic, and alot of traffic needs alot of bandwidth. Think about it.
