Hi, I would like to start a proxy Network. I am looking forward to start with 5 proxies in the beginning and i have some following questions for which i need suggest to. 1. What Script shall i go with and why? 2. What advertisement should i go for so that i do not get banned as i have heard that people using Adsense can get banned when they use them on there proxy websites. 3. What shall i do to make my proxy get a little bit traffic. 4. What would be the earning from proxie ( I mean if i start a proxy how much can i make in a month. I just need your rough estimate). 5. What Host shall i go with. (I do not want to spend a lot of money in the begining as this is my first proxy website so i would like to go with something cheap and good). Well as for the advertising option, I think you need to consider the people who use proxies first. Then you should choose an appropriate affiliate program to promote since you can use them anywhere. You could also try an advertising network like tribal fusion but I doubt they will accept you. A better option would be to use your proxy to promote some of your own websites. Since MANY people use proxies you will have free advertisement to your own website. You will just have to test out the scripts but choose one which allows both HTML as well CGI connections because people need need proxies which will allow them to log on to their accounts not just browse pages. I will try to search for some because I too am interesed in this venture. Then I will let you know for sure. As for getting famous, I guess you could ask other famous proxies to show your advertisement and pay them. And then when you get famous you could do the same thing. The major problem with proxies, and why I do not like them as business models, is because they get banned and then people look for other proxies. Once people start using your proxy, then the websites which they visit will eventually get your IP address and the ban the proxy from comming to their site. Then people will just not use your proxy and it will become unfamous and to make money you need to be famous. That is all i know. Hope it helps you some bit. I know it is not all you wanted. Sorry.

If you are completely new then go for php proxy otherwise if you have some knowledge of php / html then glype is really good as it's support myspace. read my guide on proxy and how to make money using proxy site
1. I would recommend glype. It has a lot of good features, such as a theme system, cache and many more that you can find on the site. In my opinion, it has the best compatibility with sites, out of all the other available scripts. 2. Use AdSense on your homepage, and CPM on your proxified pages. I wouldn't worry about getting banned from AdSense, unless you have a lot of countries. You can avoid having problems like that by blocking China and stuff. 3. You can submit to Yahoo/Groups Groups, there are a lot of ways. I don't bother with topsites personally. 4. Depends on how much traffic/advertising you get/do. At least a dollar a day would be easy though. 5. WDServers is the best proxy host. Ignore the website.
Hey mate. Setting up a proxy site is pretty easy. To answer your question on money, if you work at it, you could start off making $100-$200 in your first month. I made $1450 last month. You need a domain and a host to start. - You can register with namecheap.com or godaddy.com for domains. - For a host I would recommend wdservers.com aka thewird here on DP. They are the best IMO and they are who I use. - Scripts are free phpproxy (download at buildaproxy.com) or glype (download at glype.com) are both good scripts. Glype does come with support for myspace out of the box which is nice, however there are currently more addons available for phpproxy. Either way both will get the job done. - Get a free template for you respective scripts, just do a search hear on DP. Upload the files to your server and customize the template if you like. - Join several advertising companies, here is a list of the best ones: http://platinumproxyguide.com/more/monetization - Place the ad code on your sites. - Advertise! - This is the most important step and will determine how much money you make. The harder you work and the more consistent you are at this, the more money you will make. Start by going to Google and Yahoo Groups and advertising in proxy groups. Browse thru the freebies section here at DP, and search for free proxy advertising. Visit the General Marketing section here on DP. You will find that many standard marketing methods can be adapted to work for advertising proxies. Do a few link exchanges with other proxy webmasters. This will get you started. FYI. Topsites are not worth messing with. - Cash those checks. I think this is one of the hardest parts. lol! As long as you dont put adsense on proxified pages (the page after you click "surf") you will not get banned. Make sure you still comply with G rules with adsense on home page as in no images near and no ads near navigations. as for advertising, i just simply start own subscribe newsletter box and let users signup and alternatively since I am very active in few other forums and social nerworks, i simply post it about there and got natural traffic getting $2-$5 dailys after few weeks. Earnings depend on your effort to promote. (free ppromotions would do). you will earn as long as 1. your proxy dont get blocked, 2. its not holiday seasons. Your proxy will not get blocked that easily as long as you dont have "proxy""proxi""prox""*prox*" in your domain name As for hosting, I can give you starter hosting from my www.KMKhost.com for as low as $5.
