    Hello,

I have been searching on the web, for an answer for my question, but didn´t find.
I might have searched on the wrong terms but i thought i should ask here.

I am at the point to set up a website-forum with some friends,
now to make a little cash out of it i want to provide a section on the forum where you can watch your series

I will try to make this cash by putting a advertisement between the the forum and the streaming site.
so you click on the link on the forum, then you get redirected to a site where you have to wait 5 sec, and then you get your stream link.

but my question is, is it legal to provide links to streaming sites?
    and make money of it?

    regards

    olalaaa

9/10 times, linking is fine. Embedding videos could be risky, however, if it's just a plain link, you should be fine.

As I stated in a recent post, Contributory infringers provide the materials 2nd parties need to infringe upon a 3rd party and they are just as guilty as the infringing party.

I had a case a few years ago where the motion picture industry sued my clients for setting up a site that provided links to movie downloads located on random sites. My clients were in the wrong -- and they were found to be contributory infringers.

So, in answer to your question - No it is not legal to provide links to streaming sites.
