most of those scripts are free now from google, their team has put translation scripts as the number one thing that needs to be done. and they offer them for free. their last big board meeting they talked about the subject and that none of the scripts were perfect but that they had come a long way. the wp people are also doing their bit to make translation apps and getting them out.
