Hey guys I’m trying to put some weight on and wanted to know if Protein shakes will help me put some pounds on it’s a extra 700 calories per day. I’m not exercising am just drinking the shakes. how many calories would it take me to put on a extra pound? i am like 5 foot 9 in height. hmm it says i need to have 1096 calories per day to keep my weight and the shakes give me a extra 700 so i only need 400 more and im on track =) while for 10 stone i need to take 1112 a day whats like a extra 500...
If you're taking in extra calories but not doing any extra work then of course you'll put weight on. There's not a linear relationship between calories and weight increase - it also depends on your metabolism and environmental factors.
Eat at Mcdonalds 3 times a day, you'll put on weight. Just one Big Mac and fries is about 3000 calories.
Because if you just want to pile on the pounds you can just eat shite. If you want to get in good shape and build your muscles take the shakes.
Why on earth would you want to put on pounds by eating more calories and not work out? Even if you are wicked skinny, if you just eat you will not "fill out evenly" but rather just get awkward. If you want to put some size on, go to the gym and lift (and take your protein shake)... you will get the best results that way for sure.
There was a super calorie shake that my dad made for me when he and my mom were nursing me back to health from an almost life threatening parasitic bacterial infection that kept me bedwridden for 2 years. That shake saved my life cause it was a super calorie shake. I will try to ask what was in it, but in weight gain just as in weight loss the golden rule is to do it slow enough to where your body has time to adjust to your new set weight. I was a nutrition major in college and every once in aw hile, some info pops into my small brain lol.
well i want to put weight on but my body never feel hungry i only work 12 hours a week rest of the time im sat down on the pc... see most peeps would get fat but i just dont put any weight on.
Ok how old are ya? This is very very important because with most people metabolism doesnt slow down until your between 27 to 30 years of age. Another question, do you want to put muscle or fat on? I was also the same way before my illness and even though i squatted 500 pounds in high school at a body weight of 150, i could get ripped enough to look bigger then i was actually was i could never go beyond that 150 pounds i weighed . Maybe a good weight lifting routine monitored by a gym trainer could do the trick and get you ripped up enough to look bigger then you truely are. Cause when i weighed 150 in high school i had a super low body fat percentage but i looked big because of the high definition i had .
try going to gym along with the shakes.. it will increase your weight..along ,giving you a better shape..making you strong.
Im not sure how much you weigh. But if your very skinny and can't gain any weight at all you wont. Not even if you ate at mcdonalds for a full year. Your metabolism is to great. You can only gain muscle mass for now.
