Protection for Sellers of Digital Produts

    Hi to all.

Recently I started selling software/scripts. I am using PHP Audit.
Anyways, I have had numerous purchases using PayPal that have wound up being made with stolen credit cards. Needless to say I'm out the money.

We've now made it so people can not download their product right away, but this is something I rather not do as people want to use it right when they pay.

Ok, so question, anyone know of a better solution (2CO also does not have seller protection for digital products -- at least that is what a CR told me.)

    I am in the US.

    Thanks.

As long as you involve credit cards, there is no protection from chargebacks since the banks would have the final say. The only way is to use virtual currency like e-gold which distant itself from credit cards.

I've heard that before and I've just checked them out for the first time. Unless I'm misunderstanding something, that doesn't seem true.

Edit: I've also just found where that could be misinterpreted.

Thank you for input. I'm not too keen on MoneyBookers and not sure it works with PHP audit.
I think PayPal and other processors such as 2CO need to offer people that sell digital products some sort of protection.

well shadey that is what other people hope too but to see ground reality you would have to go with Moneybookers rather than sending loads of silly messages to 2CO and PayPal to update there system/policy which they never will
