Protecting Your Downloads from Theft

I'd like to build a site offering individual downloads of ebooks and software and
I'm looking for the best solution to protect my download pages from theft. I realize there's no "Perfect" solution, but at least the most effective.

I've seen a couple programs that look interesting:

    Easy Download Guard
    DL Guard

Both are priced fair (I suppose), but again, I'd like to get some feedback first before making a purchase.

DL guard is a good one. I know many marketes that use this one I think it will be well worth the investment.

if you want to collect money via paypal (credit card or paypal) then I would go with e-junkie.com

    I sell an ebook: http://www.platinumproxyguide.com

I tried a few different options, but e-junkie worked out best for several reasons. They integrate with paypal, and give me buy now buttons. They keep everything secure and give me control over how people download. For instance I have mine set so when someone purchases one of my books they get the download link and it is also emailed to them. The link is good for a maximum of 5 downloads, and max of 5 days. I have never seen anyone download it more then once, but I just set it up that way. After 5 days or 5 downloads the link expires. I also have my ebook listed in the e-junkie store, where I have sold a dozen copies or so with zero promotion. I get good reports, and total control over every aspect I could ask for. Best yet it costs me a total of $5 per month. A steal of a deal as I have made over $2500 from my ebook in the past year.

    Just my two cents.

DLG and e-junkie are both good options.

To be honest, if you are launching an info-marketing business the last thing you should be worrying about is protecting your stuff.

Your stuff will get stolen, but you want them to. Because if people are willing to steal your stuff you are doing something right.

Yeah...... no. Not my stuff. Just all the resale stuff we see all over the place here (plus a few other features) that I'm hoping to be able to construct a catalog style site quickly enough that it won't cost me much of my time but still might pull a few sales a week and draw attention to other parts of the site. Again, I realize that there's no such thing as "theft-proofing" a download site. But I want something that's not going to be an open invitation to rip me off either.
