Those who run proxies -- how do you all protect your sites from spam and unwanted traffic? I know that when I was younger I was hell on some proxies for stupid things. I know various software out there allows you to ban certain terms and ban by ip. I know you can throw in apache redirects and such. Is it not as big of a problem as I think it is? It just seems like you would be wasting all your time making sure no one does anything stupid on your server. It seems to me that for even a midly successful proxy they have to have some sort of way of dealing with these problems. So, what do you all do?
