Protecting Ideas - What are my options?

    Hello,

I'm interested in selling some of my ideas to people who can afford to make them happen. I'm perplexed on how to protect my ideas when presenting them to potential buyers. Is anyone aware of a way to safely do this?

Most of my ideas are business based processes such as specialty websites, website concepts, etc.

    Any information is greatly appreciated.

Short answer: no. There is no legal way to protect "ideas".

All you can do is write out a plan. Once it's written, it's copyrighted. Your best bet is to compile a business plan or formal report if you plan to present it. Include more than just the idea itself, b/c they're still not copyrightable.
