Ready to sell some scripts, how should I do it right? I need to license them, but I could not find anything relevant with google. I need a commercial license and if a apply it to my software, how should it protect my investment?

You may want to start to download a demo copy of a program from a web established company (such as macrovision or someone like that). They will always include a license agreeement before you download. You can use that as a template for your own (Do not copy it word for word, but rather rewrite it in your own words - a contract does not have to sound like a lawyer wrote it. A binding contract just needs to set forth the terms and conditions for use).

As I write my own, I cannot give you one of mine. Each company/product has the potential to be slightly different. You need to consider things such as if it's resellable, how it's licensed (by the machine, copy, etc.). A Merchantability clause is the main item in any of those agreements.

So there is no need to go, or to contact patent organisation and buy patent for this new software ?

Are you talking about what to have in the copy of the license or how to practically do it?

The copy should be drawn up by your solicitor/ lawyer to make sure it is enforcable - they are fairly stock and so the cost should be fairly low as a template can be used.

If you are talking about the practicalities of it then you need to add the relevant code or software to do this - there are plenty of 3rd party solutions for doing this. We have likewise created our own but naturally wouldnt share this as the more people who know how the system works exactly the more likely it is for someone to work out a way around it.
