I came across this over at Slashdot and thought people here might be interested in this. Here is a short except from the site.

The how to is really easy to follow. Are you concerned about Google storing all those search requests? Will we see more of the leaks of search data, like what happened with AOL this last week?

It is all part and parcel of building up user profiles and the more data they have the more money they can make from products they later roll out.

It is also part of tackling clickfraud - or can be to a degree by analysing your browsing behaviour. At the end of the day, all major companies and corporations are doing the same thing.

Privacy to one person is not the same as it means to another person - and that is why corporations are invading our privacy... they use a different meaning to what we believe.

Delete the cookie every now and again if you're really worried

Make your own search engine if you want to be completely safe.

I regulary clear out my cookies (at least 2-3 times daily) with CCleaner (but keep the ones that help me).
