What is the difference between a guy who has had sex with a bunch of prostitutes and a guy who has had sex with a bunch of women they met in a bar?

There is no difference. Sorry, but the truth is most men and women have had sex with multiple partners by the time they finally settle down and get married.

No diff between having sex with prostitutes and normal sluts... The only diff is if you are having sex with prostitutes you are probably bad looking and wont ever get a girl liking you anyway, or if one does they wont care how many prostitutes you shagged :p

    Anyway it goes both ways

It definitely isn't respectable, but there is a demand for it in every society crossing every income class and barrier. So, it's supposedly the oldest one (I believe that hunting for food was the oldest profession though ;) ), and it will prolly be one of the last ones around ...

The law doesn't really determine what's on people's minds. It just gives permission to exercise the profession. But I don't think that there is any society that respects prostitution. Not even the Johns.....

Well, people wanted prostitution, it was going on whether govt. liked it or not, so they legalized it in some states, but the way people look at protitutes here is not very good.

People are biased here, they are ready to sleep with her but not at all ready to give her a respectable status in society. I mean they are humans as well, they deserve respect. IMHO

Sure, they deserve respect as people. But what they do doesn't. I don't mean it as a form of judgement either. I just don't believe that the "profession" of prostitution should ever gain status of a regular profession or receive the blessing of the overall population.

I think if now gov are going to legalized it then next generation would accept it and respect it toooo.

My friend has only one point to convince me that prostitutes are same as labourer, accountant, engineer and doctors
because they use their organs to earn money and same thing others do

but the difference is only of organs.

I agree with that, but people dont treat prostitutes well even on humanitarian grounds.

But, when we talk about male prostitutes offering services to female customers ("escorts", "giglis", or "gigolos."), this point of view does not apply to males, atleast not from where i come. This is man oriented world.

Doesn't that line of thought lead to prostitutes always being a second class citizen, with second class working rights trapped in a second class job?

I know lots of people who 'are not their job' - and your job should not reflect on your social standing either.

What would you do if you were a prostitute and applied for a 'normal' job. Could you put that down on your CV and say you have 'good inter-personal skills' or would you just have a blank in your work history.

If it's not socially acceptable to say what your job is, that must make it harder to get a different job. So surely the social stigma in itself would in a way trap people in the profession?

Cut the crap. Prostitutes generally are socially lower than the rest of the population. Drug taking whores bring society down in my opinion.

I actually happen to live opposite a whorehouse (this is true).

This is one of the reason why I sometimes tend to think that communism would be a great alternative to the western society. There's too much shit such as criminals, drug addicts, pimps, fundamentalists and naive liberals. Soviet wasn't much affected of that crap at all.

There was some islamic fundamentalists there too, but that havn't any influense in the politics. And the only whores in Moscow that you could find was luxury whores that the Arabic sheiks ordered on there visits.

Well, well.. don't take this thoughts too seriously. I am a conservative pro-american in my heart.
