Prosper.com is not applicable

    I am not if from US so prosper.com is not applicable for me.. Supposing I have a very solid idea of an online business (not adult nor gambling)..where can I look for partners to help me finance this business?

    any idea?

    you can look here. But really no one is gonna give you money until a decent amount of work has been done. An Idea is not enough, most VC firms won't give anyone money that hasn't atleast completed a substantial amount of hte project.

    Design your site, build your brand, do everything you can do for free, then look for funding.

    Keep in mind that investors typically won't invest in online businesses without substantial returns because most websites are considered high risk. High risk = high reward.

    Really, if its possible, provide the funding yourself, even if it takes a little longer to get it off the ground.

    I see, thanks for some comments... will be needing around $3k in case I want to start..but as for the moment, I'm still thinking...
