proper 301 redirect

Hi
I have a dynamic site running from a database that got two pages that were cached in google that were the same page. ie www.sitename.com/folder.php
servers the same page as
www.sitename.com/folder/

So I 301 redirected like this

RewriteRule ^folder\.php$ /folder/ [R=301,L]

Or would it be better to do it like this?

RewriteRule ^folder\.php$ http://www.sitename.com/folder/ [R=301,L]

As long as you end up at the right place then it doesn't really matter.

 

Use the absolute url everytime IMO as there is no room for error by the Search engine software.
