www.failblog.com is a domain parking. Yet it ranked very high on alexa (#56,000 Worldwide) about 10,000 visitors aday. Why? because they get all the juices from www.failblog.org (#1000 Worldwide), it is a very popular site in the US. Returning visitors tend to type failblog.com instead of failblog.org, including me. It Makes me wonder how much$$ failblog.com earn from the domain parking ads. Must be hugeee
I agree with Vashie, .Com Domain are good than .org it's depends on the need how types of your needs. For Which purpose you are purchasing the sites.
Obiviously if the .com version of a domain is available you should get it instead of .org. But that doesn't mean .com is any better that .org from an SEO standpoint.
You could have a mistake domain name and get tons of traffic.....think about "micrasoft" instead of Microsoft.... besides getting sued ....what good its it........
Better in term of traffic. Failblog is one of the most subscribed channel on youtube with over 800 million page views. Sad thing is their official site is using ORG, instead of COM. .COM has over 10,000 visitors aday. Which mean, failblog.ORG lose its 10,000 visitors aday, although loyal visitor will end up in the official site eventually.
its depend on site content and other SEO factor your site have .COM or .ORG domain but your SEO techniques is not good so how can you get traffic and ranking and up to 60% people likes .COM
SO??? how can it be proved that .com is better than .org??? The concept you are speaking of is domain name misspell. wikipedia.com may sometimes be misspelled as wikipedea.com and the latter gets some traffic...Thats it!
