He's not pointing at the child. He's holding his weapon in a standard position in-case he needs to use it. Look at the trigger finger, it's resting and isn't on the trigger. Look at the other kid in yellow - he's not running, he has his hands in his pocket and he's relaxed, so either Palestinians don't care about other kids or he knows there's no real danger there. Its a standard weapon position in case he really needs to aim at something fast, and as you notice Palestinian kids - he's in a red zone there might be enemy forces.
