I agree completely. I have never said he was completely infallible. Instead a select few with personal vendettas here have as you said, let emotion dictate logic, reason and reality, have chosen to make that assumption. Well, as I have said in the past, that is Bush's fault (at least while there were given money under his watch). I fault him for not having someone at the federal level oversea and guide the blind, Ray Nagan and company. I fault him for not making sure that the money was spent where it was supposed to be. I fault Bush further for not holding NO's Mayor and Governor accountable for their waste on his watch. Naygan should have been removed from office, and martial law should have been declared. He should still be removed, or at the very least resign. I cannot however fault him with the waste and stupidity that exacerbated this situation, prior to him taking office. Agreed, that is where his real F'up is. Trusting local and state officials to do their own job. The cold harsh reality is that they did jump in and offer help, but it was refused. The fault is the fact that Bush did not take command and over ride them. But had he, who knows, we would likely be hearing what a power monger he is, and Nagan would be yelling "Nazi" instead of "Chocolate." So you are correct, can't win for losing. Either way Bush is bad to the close minded. Well this too will pass and there will be someone else to blame in the future. You cannot make a liberal happy. I gave up on that concept years ago. Bush is only human, and is gonna make mistakes, and there is certainly no denying he's made a few (sounds like song). But I can think of things like Waco, Bosnia, Somalia, and so on and say the same. The only difference is, I do this objectively and in retrospect. At the time, would I or any of you done any better? Hind sight is always 20/20. I know that is cliche, but it has never been more true. I guess the difference myself is I did not harbor any hatred towards Clinton, I just thought he made some bad policy decisions and spent more time working on his legacy than the nation and terrorism. Bush spends way too much time thinking he can solve all the worlds problems in 8 years. Before all the naysayers scream and cry and rant, "he loves Bush", I was a Keyes supporter early on. 9/11 and the command and control Bush too of our nation in the wake of that disaster is what has influenced my opinion of Bush. Prior to that, I was just one of those happy to see Bill Clinton gone. The best thing for this situation now, is to move forward and find positive solutions to the problems in NO. We can all sit around and bitch and bicker about what went wrong, and who screwed up, but that is not solving anything. Why rehash? It's counter productive. What have any of you done to aid in the relief effort? Why not make a postive contribution instead of constantly bitching and looking for new reasons to hate Bush. All this negative energy here is pointless.
Amaizing how mississippi sustained WORSE damages than N.O. yet was handled so much better. Not to throw the politics in, but, NO gov (D), MS Gov (R). Funny also, FLA had MUCH MORE damage done in 04 and 05, yet they came through it ok, instead of blaming and bitching, like Bush creates the weather (OOps sorry tesla) .
Dammit Henny. A supreme court justice is trying to sleep here! have you no respect? I think its latehorn who believes that Bush waves the weather wand. I could be wrong though. Tesla is alien overlords.
Man, it has been refreshing. I have been as asleep as Ruth, since I put the Tesla on ignore. What a change. Every now and then I see a quoted blurb from Tesla and I think to myself... "man, this ignore feature is incredible."
I must have missed the requirement to sit around and watch news all day and hopefully catch a glance. I dont' watch liberal media news. It's like asking crooks to form a neighborhood watch
A funny thing happened the other night. I decided to tune into Fox to see what all the hub bub was about. The 30 minutes or so I watched it, I found it to be pretty typical of most networks. I guess I am not sure what the hype is about. It seemed somewhere between, left leaning and middle of the road. From this experience I gather that most people that bitch about Fox have probably never watched it. I typically watch CNN, and bounce between that and PMSNBC, as well as some Candian hoof and mouse disease channel above 360 on DirectTV. I need my comedy every now and then. I suppose if you compare Fox to NPR, it may look like Fox leans to the right, but then again, if you compare NPR to CNN, it looks like CNN leans to the right. I would have to say that about the closest to the right is probably PMSNBC. But then again I guess I was able to stomach 30 minutes of Fox because I am immune to allowing my emotions and opinions from interferring with reality.
Mighty kind of you! So there is no definitive source, you just have to believe that out there somewhere, it exists? That's a nifty way to do things. Make a charge, create a predefined broad reaching search string and hope for the best! http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=hillary+clinton+has+large+testicles&btnG=Google+Search
Bwahahahaha! That is the best thing I've read all day...basrely edging out Gtech's "Hillary testicles" link. You guys are too much!
G-wob, (Robby? Bobby?) you really need to re-read MY post..... Amaizing the selective reading that goes on here...
