    where can I write a thread to promote a new blog? I'm asking this because I see only directories' announcement. :(

    Use it in your signature to promote it ! :)

    You can also request a site/blog review in the Reviews section. ( I mean create a thread to get reviews about your blog from members)

    If you are giving away free posts on your blog then use 'Freebies' forums as well otherwise signature is best for promotion of your blog.
