I recently launched a website http://www.yooartwork.com But I have not much knowledge about marketing. please share your knowledge with me. Thanks
Hi TechDesigner, Thanks for your smart advice but my site is new so I have to wait for these kind of things. I shall be grateful to you if you can suggest me initial level marketing. Thanks
How do you plan to monetize the site? Your monetization methods could affect how you need to market the site.
I'm not entirely sure what the point of your website is; that's your first mistake, and asides from the pictures, there's no other content. Are you giving away pictures? Are you showcasing artwork you or someone else did? Why would I ever want to go to your website? You should make those questions more clear to the viewer first.
from the looks of it you just want to find other artists who will submit some of their work to your website is that true? If I'm on the right track here then I can say 2 things: you need to find a place to recruit artists who will be willing to submit their work. You need to provide them with an incentive to send in their work. Why would anyone want to publish their hard work for free? Would you be purchasing this artwork or are you hoping that people will donate to. You also need to find an audience who likes artwork like this. What is your call to action for your website? Are you trying to sell art, or just get traffic to this site so you can throw up some ads and make money? Or this is non-profit business? You might be interested in joining art chat rooms so you can recruit them for your site. I don't think its a good idea to send traffic to your site through pay per click, you would lose a lot of money really fast and your website isn't set up for making money yet. Maybe you can join social media websites like Stumble upon, and then you can submit your art work to people on that website. People are interested in art will come to your website and if you have interesting work people will vote your pictures up and even more people will come to the site.
I agree with people above. The website is all too confusing. You need to let prospective customers know what is happening as soon as they enter the homepage
Yeah I had check out the site too, and it does in fact lacking something, it look more like portfolio site, look what I can do, but again it does need some contents to get people to understanding what the site is about. I have gave some tips to the person who posted this, and say, well what is it that you are trying to sell? selling picture or selling your services as a graphic artist, etc. Two, there is no signup form for free offer (which is great to get people to signup for your free newsletter or ebook). real secret on the net is building your lists for future followup.
SEO is the key. how to monetize your website: 1) You could put up banners pointing to your affiliate links. 2) You can write articles or reviews pre-selling affiliate products. 3) You could put up an opt-in form to collect subscribers. 4) You can sell ad space and generate a fixed earning.
Then of course you have Facebook. I would create a fan page and then target those that are on Facebook that are related to what you are doing (or in some aspect). This is a great method to increase traffic. It narrows down those targets you are seeking.
First let us know whats the purpose of your website, and how you plan to monetize, then only we can give some light into the matter, you can do initial levels of SEO at this moment
Very Simple actually.... Just bust out with some article marketing and some Press Releases and you will get everything and everyone you want coming to your site. Depending on what service you use or if you so choose to market yourself - I would aim to submit atleast 25-30 articles per month all over the internet and atleast 1 Press Release a month.
You can place ads on various classified ads website which does not require registration this will save your time as well.
thanks for your interest , website it to promote art work. here user(artists) can register can promote their art work. communicate with each other and can give and receive comments on art work posted on site.
