Promotion - cheapest way of directing traffic to new website

    I am setting up a new adult blog/link referral website with a new domain name. Ive been out of this industry for a few years now so im looking for a bit of advice on the best, and fundamentally the cheapest, way to go about promoting an adult website from scratch.

    The cheapest way to get instant traffic is PPC providing you choose the right networks and keyword phrases. Depending on the type of adult site is may be against TOS.

    Is it a dating site?

    Use Craigslist and Backpage to promote dating niches. Takes a little bit of prep but wort it.

    Dude PPC is gona cost you a fortune in the adult niche..

    Absolute cheapest way to drive quality traffic to an adult site is by watermarking and uploading videos to the adult tube sites (youporn, tube8, slutload, redtube, etc etc...)

    Hire an outsourcer if you have to, and get them to create accounts at the 10 largest adult tube sites...then have them upload 10 or 20 watermarked adult clips to each of these adult tube sites...within your second week you will be getting LOADS of traffic...

    Mastering Social Media in & outs is the quickest way to grow a website in the short run. Great content of value is the BEST way gain traffic over the long haul. There really aren't any shortcuts to getting lots of traffic "instantly" unless your willing to pay with both sweat equity and money (PPC).

    I agree that social sites have been a good venue to advertise adult niche sites. Traffic exchanges will not work if you have no traffic to offer yet IMO as you mentioned you will just be starting from scratch.
    You can also try gfy.com or netpond.com. They got tons of offers there for mainstream traffic.
