Promotion by forum signatures

I've heard a lot that this type of promotion can be quite successful.

What big forums do you recommend, that allow links in signatures ? And most preferably without the rule, that you have to write 10 post to get your signature .

 

well you need to get posts for your signature to show up, so if you are planning LESS then 10 posts then forget about that forum as your sig will get lost

 

Try post on vbulletin based forums and only forums where you can see other members have sigs. Post on your niche, dont post on a gardening forum if you are offering directory submission services....
