This question is about promoting a Free ebook to another persons email list, - who are in the same niche. it would be grate if you have DONE THIS ALREADY in the past, and answer, so please state whether you have done this already or not. I have 2 choices, i can either 1)-send the Free ebook to their list 2)-send a link to an OPT IN page of MINE, to their list, so they subscribe and THEN get a link to my free ebook The second one is better as i will increase my opt in subscribers, by taking my partners subscribers, but i thought that he might think that I am stealing his customers (even though they are not his). What do you think? When you use other peoples emails lists to promote your ebooks, did you give them ebook straight up, or direct them to an Optin page, where they had to subscribe. Are you speakin from experience? Any advice? tips on this matter ?.....
It really is all going to depend on the person whose list you are using. Are you paying him submit your book to his list? If so, I would definitely inquire about having a link to your optin form. You definitely want to build your own list if possible. It cannot hurt to ask the list owner if you can do that because that would be the ideal situation. Here is the other thing to consider. You are are going to get that book in more people's hands if you just send the book directly because there are less steps. If the list owner sends the book directly and people can download it from there then the transaction is done. But, if they then have to click on a link and sign up for another list before getting the book, they may get turned off to the offer. But, for me, I always try to get a subscriber if possible, even at the risk of a few 'lost sales' on the front end.
