promoting the blog

    hi,
    i m new to adsense .i would like to know what are the ways to promote the blog.
    can i send links to my friends post it in the forums.

    and what are restrictions regarding promoting.

    i decided to promote it through facebook orkut and other community site but a friend of mine told me ull ge baned for doing this

    plz advice me on this

    You won't get banned for promoting your site on any of those. You need to just put links to your site on other sites where the content is relevant.

    You can not get banned for promoting your site. You can only get banned from Google Adsense if you generate false-clicks or place the ads on sites that are not compliant with Google's TOS. Don't worry - the type of traffic is not any factors for potential bans.

    link exchange and SEO..thats one way to promote sites..and also make sure you have original content on your blog and is contastantly updated..
