I'm trying to promote my store stuffaccess.com. What would be the best way of doing this? I've signed up for adwords but clicks seem to be very expensive. At $0.20 per click I get only about 9 visitors a day.
Here are some ideas/suggestions to try... - Article marketing, write articles related to your niche and submit them to article directories such as ezinearticles.com. - Find forums related to your niche and actively post messages there. Include a link to your store in your signature. - YouTube marketing, find videos related to your niche. Email the original creator of the video to see if it would be ok to use their video for promotional purposes. Add a brief ad for your store to the beginning and end of the video. Also add your link to the bottom of the video and in the description for the video. Upload this video to YouTube and similar video sites. - Post ads on Craigslist.com. Remember to use autoresponders or the 'Craigslist Nazis' will delete your ads. This is just a few. There are many promotional ideas to market your site/store. Remember, stay focused, stay dedicated. Internet marketing, especially for an online store, can take alot of time and work to become successful.
You can have dynamic meta tags set up for all your pages, so that all the pages will have product name in the title and description. This will give you a chance to rank for particular product name or its features where the competition is less in the search engines. You can also use sites like ebay and Google Product search to post your products and get more exposure. Just my 2 cents.
Do not worry, this is very simple. Check these sites www.jetc.com www.wholesalecentral.com www.urtrade.net
Since on average only 1 out of every 100 or so people buys, yeah, that 20 cents is way too much! You do know that you can contact one of the Google staff to help on adwords and adsense, right? At 9 clicks, you more than likely are doing something wrong. Can we see your ad(s)? What keywords are you using? Also try reading http://www.thelist.fm/marketing-advertising.shtml for more marketing and advertising ideas.
Nice site, by the way. But you need more up there besides a few keyrings and lightbulbs. Go look at Amazon, and other such sites for ideas. But remember to keep your download time under 7 seconds for dial ups. Unless you can get it to download from top to bottom.
post or hire someone to post in as many forums you can get related to e-shops and stuff like that. you could make.. let's say, 10 posts there and use in your signature a link to your website also, try to get your website in as many directories you can... as if you're selling something unique try to be a top search result for that certain keyword.
Try submitting a product feed to the large comparison shopping engines like Shopping.com and Shopzilla. These can send ultra targetted traffic to your site. Be careful with your budget though.. Sometimes if you arent careful it can spiral out of control if you have some popular products (from personal experience hehe) Good Luck
I would start building a series of niche blogs to capture the organic traffic. Stop paying for clicks right now and spend your money on getting articles written for a few niche blogs. What I mean is you have to post ads on Craigslist without links to your store/website. Instead in your ad tell people if they are interested in your product, email you. Before you do this you would need to setup an email address (usually at google or yahoo) that gives you the ability to use an 'autoresponder' (also known as a vacation responder). Basically what an autoresponder does is automatically emails a response back to people who email you (in this case, people interested in your product). The response message would of course include a link to your site. An example response could be 'Hey, thanks for your interest in my item I have for sale. For more information and to purchase, please visit my website at http://www.whatever.com. For more detailed info on setting up an autoresponder, try searching google for 'setting up yahoo autoresponder' or 'setting up google autoresponder'. Hope this helps...
Hey Afodo, I'd be more than happy to write some articles for you. I PM'd you with more info. Get back to me if your interested...
If at all you are using only PPC for generaitng traffic to your site then expand your campaign to more and more keywords. Add a list of about 100 or more keywords and then start a massive adword campaign. I am sure this will bring a lot of traffic instantly but if you are not making any sale then it is pointless because you are paying a lot for that traffic. So instead of PPC i suggest you switch to free modes of traffic and then test and track your conversion rates once you are sure you are not going to make any loss and you can cover your adword bill then start the massive PPC campaign i was talking about...
For some free modes of traffic you can try some of these. They can really boost your traffic and they are free: - SEO - Forum sig - blog - Social bookmarking sites (use digg for short term traffic like about a day or two and use stumble upon for long term traffic) - Affiliates - Blogrush (This is John Reese's new widget it brings free traffic to your blog) - Submit articles to several article directories (this might help you a bit with your seo too). These are somethings to begin with then you can test and track and decide which ones work better for you and continue with them and chuck the rest.
If I make a blog do I make it about my site or a certain product on my site and link it that way? Also would I need to add new articles about the product every week?
