Hey, I have a new forum up for the orlando magic. I am trying to promote it the best i can. I set up a twitter, facebook, and myspace page and I'm trying to get as many people as I can on those. I just used a $50 google adwords coupon too. My questions are, i heard by joining other nichee related forums and keeping a link in your signature is another good way to bring targetted traffic. I'm going to start doing this a lot more now too. What would be the best link to put in my signature at other sites. Would it be searchable in google at all if you put the right keywords in the signatures of your site on other forums, will it be beneficial at all? I was thinking like Orlando Magic Fan Forum then put the URL. Are there any other good things you guys can suggest too. I really don't know anything about backlinking, after doing some reading it looks like pretty much just submitting your site on to as many other sites as you can. It looks like all the programs cost a lot of money too. Are there any free programs. Thanks for any help.
as long forum is concern you are in the rigth place... but you can also other forum like warrior forums
Find information on how to optimize you site if you have one or get a blog. When you have your site optimized, you can start building traffic to your site using article marketing, blogging, forums, directories, social bookmarking and so on. The essence is that you might stand a chance of having your site listed in the major search engines.
make sure your site is appealing and error free to start with, then yeah, just nourish around various forums with it in your signature, maybe do a little SEO and you should be fine

I would be careful with Warrior Forum! It's a great forum for advertising sure but just make sure you read ALL the rules before you post, reply or whatever! I would suggest you do Adswaps to leverage your forum. Promote it by using other related niches within the Basketball/Orlando Magic market. Also look at Youtube and comment on related videos, make your own videos and advertise your forum. People don't like to advertise on facebook but I think it's really good. You can target your traffic to where your ads go. It's really cheap! I used it for 1 week at a time here and there, and always get a great response. Just keep going to forums and get the word out there. Another big tip is to work on your backlinks etc to get your site ranked high.

i suggest that you also try advertising your website through postcards. You can print your website address on the postcards and add simple images on it may be your logo or just appropriate to your homepage.
Just tell it to all the orlando magic fans. Go to the orlando magic website and participate in whatever is happening there.
