Promoting my site.<buget=$200>

I have $200 to spend and I would like to know on what to spend that money in order to get some quality backlinks?

I don't want to be penalized by google so I'm not interested in buying links from other sites :D

I have already submitted my site to most social bookmarking sites and I also to many web directories.

Any good ideas? Please don't spam me via PM;)

You have $200, and you want to buy links?

Why don't you just flush it down the toilet? You'll get the same results: Shit.

    - link bait

That was the most non-productive, off topic answer to a question I've ever seen. We are all dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

He said I DON'T WANT TO BUY LINKS FROM OTHER SITES! If you read the original posters comments, instead of looking for the most negative, unhelpful response, you might have seen this.

To the OP. The pay per click game is a quick, easy way to generate short term traffic. If you find some long tail keywords that are related to your site, but don't have much competition, you can spend as little as .05-.10 cents a click. For long term traffic, go for the article marketing, social bookmarking, free directory link building. If you can get some good organic search engine traffic, that's good too, but don't rely on that. Create a site that people want or need to visit, people should begin to link to it naturally. I'll take word of mouth advertising over anything else in a heartbeat.

    I stand corrected.

But I do hope you feel better after that laughable little girl hissey fit over such a simple thing.

Keep your points. I'm no longer in grade school collecting points and gold stars.

    Keep the $200.

In this business, you either have a lot of money or you have none, there is no average. Looks like you're going to have to go down the path of free promotion.

Article Writing, Forum Posting, Social Bookmarking, Template Building, Etc.. there are thousands of ways to drive traffic to a site that will produce much better results if you just do it yourself then spending $200.
