Does anyone know how I can put my business on facebook like companies such as Starbucks and Youtube have done. (I signed up to an account today)
You will have to create a lot of friends and then send news letter or create a group so on and so forth
1) Using facebook ads. Visa Business network has been giving out $100 in credit for a while, not sure if they still are. 2) Add lots of people and invite them to a group about your business that you created, and/or.. 3) Create a product page on Facebook Pages.

Orkut is a lot more popular here. Actually, brazilians are the bigger "population" in orkut My mom have a home based work and she "advertise" it in a "business profile" there. Have a good visibility... Good lucky with your FB profile and business
The conventional thinking is that Facebook is not the best place to push your business. That might change with the ever growing influx and variety of members though.
Hi BMX, Apart from what Jeffler already stated, you may also want to consider these: - have a press release written about your page/Facebook page (I can write one for you ) - add various Facebook business applications - add lots of people / "friend" them - join various Facebook groups and post on walls - place comments on your friends' walls Hope this helps
I don't think it is easy to promote through facebook unless you've large friend network and own group.
