I would like to promote my blog, what is the best way to promote it.

 

Write more quality content

 

Ok but I am talking if there are any place where I can submit my blog, like directories

 

use pingomatic.com ..whenever u write a post, ping it so that search engines can crawl ur content. there are various blog directories, submit ur blog there. Also try to do link exchange with similar blogs. put meaningful comments onother blogs if possible.

Leave quality comments on other similar blogs. Link to other blog posts. Use trackback. Don't spam. The other blog's readers might not follow through to your blog, but the blog owner might.

Well, I am not so much enthusiastic about submitting in the blog directories. I have found that they are good for getting links but not so good for traffic. I think the best way is to leave comments in other blogs and participate in forums. Of course, you need good content.

 

I agree pingomatic is the way to go.

 

Everytime I put a comment in someone's blog it seems that I view source and there's rel=nofollow attribute. I'm not just talking about blogger blogs. All blogger blogs have rel=nofollow. That attribute gives no gain for page rank.

 

I think i saw some affiliates to places where you can gain major traffic to your blog here...
