    Hey guys,

I was wondering how you are promoting your facebook page. For example I have a fanpage created when I bought the blog about a year ago and already got enough fans for vanity url but after fans stopped comming.

Right now I am wondering if I am missing a point to easily promote the site all articles and news are also published. My plan is to increase site traffic via facebook and not the other way.

So if you have any tips maybe we can share ideas and improve strageties

Just to give some input I think important things are a landing page as well as updating the page on regular basis with news and all new articles

A landing page is a must these days. I notice so many facebook pages with a nice landing page, works wonders. Provide interesting content as well. I'd recommend doing contests too, that always keeps people staying. :)

You must consider the two ways (promoting facebook page via your website and promoting your website via facebook)

retain your visitors by suggesting they join your facebook page .. PM me for tips on how to do that ..

I can't help you, I must know the page type first .. PM me the URL and I'll share what I'v learned so far ..

I usually just buy them from some service that I find or I just ask for friends that have an awful amount of "friends" on their profiles to invite them. Invites still work though!

Facebook does offer advertisement - it's really inexpensive you could get away with even 2 cents per 1thousand impressions. I have found that commenting on other people's status's and sharing fun and interesting posts with a memorable comment will reward you with more friend requests. "Like" other FB pages that allow business posting and comment on their status's with a little info at the end about what you provide which is relevant to that discussion. You can also do a giveaway offer stating that the first person to refer a certain number to your page will get a prize. Anyway you do it, trying to gain fandom on facebook requires time and effort.

Depending upon your products and services, having a facebook page may not be as lucrative as you might think. People using facebook are there to communicate with their friends/family and then to obsess over some farming or other mindless game. So you may increase awareness (branding) of your business more than traffic or actual revenue. The best thing to do is make an online presence for yourself in as many different places as you can so that when someone eventually wants what you provide, then it will easily pop up wherever they search. You should go on digg, stumbleupon and other link sites for your new blogs and information so you stay relevant and increase where people can find you.

Incidently, your above posting added a link to google which is much more important than having fans on Facebook.

    On a side note:

Green Tekkie, LLC just launched the Green Tekkie Website and already has over 19 links on a google search for "green tekkie". All Synergy Group Member take advantage of those links as well as receive over 30 more links through our online presence multiplying techniques. Apply for a Membership at greentekkie.com and we will start promoting your business.
