Promoting amazon via Youtube

This may be outside the box, but if you know a little about the product you are promoting (the product the video is about). What I would do is create a small article about how to use the product effectively, maybe some tips or tricks about the product. Link that document on the back end of an auto responder, tell people in the description of the video that you have a free gift for them about how to use the product better, or something like that. Then direct them (link in the description) to an email form to sign up to your list, remember to remind them what they will receive once they have signed up. Once they have signed up to your list , give them the small article that you promised, and then you email them about the product in the video as many times as you want, and then any thing else relevant to that very product. You will make a lot more money by promoting to people from an email than from a link in a video.
