One of the most consistent ways of generating traffic to your Amazon links each and every week is through Squidoo. Squidoo is a highly respected informational site that contains personal insights/articles in the form of "lenses" that also manage to get pretty good page ranking within search engines when they are well written and have decent keyword content. A prime example of a decent Amazon promoting lens is one which contains original content which is descriptive of the title and subject matter of the lens. The Amazon products being displayed on the lens, either through the Amazon module being added to the lens, or by using links to Amazon products in the lens, must also be in line with the subject matter of the lens as well. Remember, quality and not quantity is the goal for your traffic going to Amazon! Top 10 Tools For Do It Yourself Projects This lens in particular, is both linking to Amazon product, AND is using the Amazon module with keywords which are on topic with the lens. This way, any products showing within the Amazon module will be relating to the topic of the lens, and will increase the chances of the reader being interested in the Amazon products. Quality - Not Quanity - Embed that into your head and repeat it as you're promoting your Amazon links!

Just to let you guys know - I lost my Amazon affiliate status due to the State of Illinois law forcing affiliate program using sites to implement state taxes for transactions earned from Illinois affiliates. They basically tried to stretch the definition of "presence" beyond that of company employees working within the state to include affiliates - who are not only not company employees, but may not even be American. I was fired as soon as the law was signed by my governor. However, I still make money from Amazon products which are purchased via the Squidoo Amazon module. It's no as much as my old affiliate payout would have been, but it's something. Squidoo is also excellent for SEO - it's a high quality back-link source for any website that you want to promote. So, you may want to come up with some creative ways at writing site related content and include a back-link or two to your website of choice. It's pretty cool to have a quality SEO tool at your disposal to promote your websites with, that also makes you money! Write a lens or two along with each of your projects, and before you know it you'll have an army of them pushing traffic to your sites. If you took the time to write them well, they will peform well when it comes to the amount of traffic that they receive - giving your website more traffic, the back-link more value, AND making you more money as well. Remember, innovation is invaluable and os the ultimate key to success in this business.
