Promoting adsense website in classifieds allowed?

I want to promote my websites thru free and paid classifieds apart from SEO.

One is information website and another is business website-having products.

I have mailed G about this. And got a reply like "you should exercise caution while using classifieds"

Which type of classifieds should I have to avoid? Do you have any idea?

I don't understand. Maybe Google misunderstood the question? I mean, every site has to advertise. They can't tell you were you can advertise.

I think what google is saying is becareful not to post ads that could be classified as spam. They don't want to tell you to go post random posts just for the sake of getting backlinks.

If you're advertising your SITE, not the ads. It should be fine.

"Unless you go visit my site and click on my ads!" then ya...you'll get banned

Then you are fine advertising your site on classifieds. I post my services website on Craigslist all the time.

So you have a commerce site and have AdSense? Makes me think of the age-old debate of whether advertisements should just be included in content sites. At least I think it's an age-old debate.

Do you know why ads and sales don't mix?

Ads are sad when sales are there to teach it a lesson

The colors aren't there just to look pretty.
