    Hello there,

I am looking for ways to promote my WordPress job related website and I was hoping I could get some fresh ideas from you guys.
As one of many people who use WordPress for business and personal blogs I had difficult time finding individuals that could assist me with my website. Some websites were inactive, others were charging fees and some were just plain unusable. I have decided to create a site where workers come to me and added possibility for anyone to publish job offers free of charge.

Now funny thing is that website has a high amount of job postings but there aren't many freelancers looking for work. I was wondering how I could attract both companies and individuals that are searching for WordPress realted jobs.
There are all kind of job postings, from full time jobs to small projects that take an hour to complete.

    The website is wpjobs.com
    We have twitter account @wpjobscom
Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+ should be up soon. And we are slowly adding blogs to in hope that original content will make it easier to find us over search engines.

So what else can we do?

You are starting a business in a saturated market. What does your site offer that sets it apart from odes, guru, peopleperhour, fiver, freelancer... focusing only on WordPress is not enough. You need to find something unique that benefits both freelancers and those posting jobs

In the past I was able to successfully advertise my job sites (I had two) on craigslist. I'd post ads in the Resume section asking the employers to visit my sites and post job openings. That brought in both employers and job seekers. It's not an easy job to post (and keep) ads on craigslist but it's worth it.

Well all those websites have fees. Our goal was to create a website where clients can post both huge and small tasks and they won't have to pay extra money to get the job done. The middle man ends up taking over 8% of money that could've easily gone into workers pocket.
We already have serveral of our developers and designers taking jobs but there is only so much a couple of people can do. So we are trying to come up with a plan to gather more great workers to get the site really going.

That's a great idea qwikad. Thank you for your input :)

you could try writing to people offering those services on fiverr. If they can make more money they will come.

For the Job Portal you need Online Marketing Activities like: Ads, Social Media Presence and etc.

Yes Social Media is very important, you could start with your circle of influence first. Be it Facebook or Twitter, get your friends to help you spread the word. Freelancing jobs are very appealing to students!

Spreading the word is very important when you act into a saturated market. You must try to find a way to convince people that you are offering something different, standing 'out the crowd'.
