Promoting a tutorial indexing site? How?

I have a few cool ideas for a tutorial indexing site. I'm not talking about a simple script with plain text and links to tutorials, I'm talking about a cool fully future tutorial indexing site. I want to start coding this site, and make it look and work at its best.

Again, I have a few ideas that no other tutorial indexing sites are using but the problem is I am not to good at promoting it. I am looking for all the hints, tips, tricks and suggestion that you can give me. Depending on your feedback, I will start working on this project or not.

Thanks in advance for your help.

what kind of tutorials are you going to have on the site? This type of site is great for forum marketing if you can get good tutorials on it.

I was thinking on starting with Web Design Tutorials since thee are more sites and blogs that write photoshop/illustrator tutorials. Then add other sections like CSS, XHTML, PHP based on the user feedback.

So, for the beginning I'd like focus on web design tutorials. I know a lot of blogs/sites that write good tutorials weekly, and for the beginning, I will do the submissions, then hopefully the writers will start to submit.

Thanks for the replays so far. Mcaronan , heakset heakset could you be more specific please? ;)

Post in forums that focus on web design. You put the link to your site in your signature, this will give you some traffic and back links with good anchor text. You can also ask the blogs that write the tutorials for a back link.

I was thinking to create a little gadget with 'latest tutorials' and give the code for free to all the sites who want to show some extra tuts on their pages. Like that, sites that show this gadget get to submit tutorials that will show up in the gadget on other sites :D.

If you use robosoft you can submit to 1,000s of sites very quickly. I think they a free trail too. This will give you a little extra traffic and if you make your pad file keyword friendly you can get a lot of extra good backlinks.

    Make tutorials upon request.

So you would know what people want and start out with what is needed.

Thanks daizisheng, I'll try to do that ;).

oea, I think your idea sounds cool, but I don't think I'll be up to do the job. I am not the Guru in design here. I simply know how to do this and that in photoshop ;). That is way I want to make a tutorial indexing site instead of continuing with my Photoshop blog in the first place.
