I was wondering, how can I promote a new site I made without spending any money?

Forums, directories, and articles are all great ways.

 

Write some good articles and submit them to popular article directories.

 

Exchange links with similar sites, add your site url in your signature...

 

Go to forums which have an advert section.

 

if you have forums do post exchanges...

 

Theres many options, for example you can go to invisionfree forums and go to advert sections.

You can also use youtube, make a video and link to your forum.

 

Try some social bookmarking sites, get backlinks.

 

As others suggested, Forums are a good way to go as is myspace.
