Promoting a image hosting site

Hi,

I'm wondering what way is the best way to promote a image hosting site?

I've advertised on different forums by asking for reviews, in the freebies sections etc... But in your opinion, which way brings more traffic?

by advertising in forums, you mean through your signature?
Well, signature is a good advertising method IF you post lots of useful stuff, if you're just spamming around then people won't bother your signature link.

 

free image hosting? like photobucket? build a reliable service, and users will find you... target ebay sellers.. reddit users.. and once you get the ball rolling.. so if you can offer a reliable service, it will take off by itself

 

Have to agree on that - a bit more information on the home page would be good

 

I personally think you need to build up reliablility first.
