Promoting a free website script?

I am currently learning PHP and I just started developing some simple scripts (like FormMailer). What's the best way to promote free PHP scripts?

Design free tutorial and share with friends.

 

start sharing your links on social networks like Twitter, Facebook.. I think, that will drive traffic for you !

 

Is there a list of script directories???

 

Get listed in every script directory you can find
Submit to freeware & shareware directories
Promote your free script across webmaster forums where they allow it
Get listed in freebie directories
Share your scripts through your network (twitter, facebook, etc.)
Social bookmarking
Add a link in your signature "FREE (whatever) Script"

 

hotscripts.com is one of the more popular ones....

BUT

Any script you are creating now has tons of holes that hackers can bite through.

There are special codes you need to add and tons of other things you have to learn before you can start selling scripts.

 

I prefer Tutorials Writing on a site can produce better results in terms of Link Building and Impressive Visitors

 

promote your scripts in php communities with tutorials that guide people on PHP functions.

 

try sell in DP trade script area and you can find the many buyer.

 

just share at php forum and take discuss at there.

 

i think u should join differents forum for this.

 

you can promote your script in directories, social bookmarking sites, free classifieds, forums, press release and writing articles etc.. you can even promote in the script sites where others post about their scripts like scriptmafia.com

 

I'm sure if you check google you'll be able to find a list of directories to submit to.

I know about various script directories, but is there some way to announce the script to the world? I think I should try with press releases!
