Promoting A Classified Ads Website: Help

Okay, though I have a little background to promote websites but I guess it's not enough. My website TargRo(dot)com, which is a free classified website still needs exposure in order to get massive traffic that I believe everyone of us wants to achieve in our site.

Anyone here know websites (a specific website for advertising) where i can submit my website? Sort of directory submission is what I meant here.

    Thanks.

Nice site that Emma. How much does your affiliate program pay? Noticed it was for premium services. Affiliates usually are a great way to get the right exposure (letting others spread the word). Gumtree and Vivastreet both pay for leads, I think they pay £0.30 per ad. Maybe a similar lead campaign may help!

Thank you for the reply and your great advice Ryan6, however, as much as possible I don't want to spend a dime in thrusting this effort.

This might sound crazy but I would promote that on other free classified sites such as, Craigslist, Backpage, Kiiji, etc... I'm sure somewhere there is a list of free classified sites.

You would be exposing yourself to the people that use those sites directly.

My friend was tested Backpage and Kiiji before. From him, it is normal and not that user friendly.

You can promote it the usual way like social bookmarking and through some social networking sites such as facebook and possibly tweeter.

The first website in my signature is a free advertising place that also shares in revenues made there. Many members so many would see your website..

Emma, it was a good idea as someone pointed out to advertise within these free classifieds yourself. They should go through all right, although I myself had an ad rejected from Gumtree a few days ago as it was a work from home type advert. You could also setup groups on Facebook an you should be throwing an ad in your signature link for your site, like "POST FREE ADS"! You could get plenty of traffic even from forums like this doing that.:D
