    I have two Fan pages..
One page has about 4,500 fans and I can do promoted posts up to $300
The other page has about 8,500 fans and the promoted posts are max'd at $5 - $5 is the only option.

Any idea why one page would be limited to only $5 promotions:confused:

Not sure, but are you experiencing good results by buying promoted posts? And if you do, how much do you spend?

For getting new likes on the Fan page, i get great results. For driving traffic to my website, it's horrible. Seems people (my fans at least) are lazy.. they'll take 1/10th of a second to click 'Like', but most will not take the time to click-thru to the website and read the page.

I'll spend anywhere from $5 to $300 per post a few times a month..

Hmmmm....sounds like it may be cheaper just to buy likes. I have done well setting up fan pages with keyword phrases as the title and then buying likes to get to the top of fb search....

But as you said....traffic to the website isn't there

How/Where do you buy your likes? Are they real people and do they care about your page? At least i know that getting likes via promoted posts (to friends of people that like the page), the people are real, and have at least some interest in the page.

No, they are not real and they don't care about the page, but that is not why I get them. I get them so much page ranks at the top of fb search AND THEN I get the real people..... real people that are searching in fb for my product or service and there my page sits at the top (because it has the most likes)

For all of you closely following this issue: today my max for promoted posts went up to $10... Maybe it has something to do with the page being new and it will increase over time..
