Promote site with Fan page on Facebook

Okay, so i set up a page on Facebook and invite all of my friends to become a fan. Most of them became fans. Now the thing is trying to get others that are not my friend to become fans. They are not becoming fans as fast as i would like. My question is, what does it take to promote the fan page on Facebook... a simple facebook logo on the home page of my site? Or should the facebook logo say "become a fan" or something like that?

Is it too obstructive or to "begging" to say "become a fan" for a facebook logo on my home page?

 

Well there are two things which you can do to get more and more likes for your fan page. One, start doing some viral marketing by posting an attractive image with a catchy title and a short content. Then after 24 hours share atleast 20 friends for that post, then again after 24 hours tag more 30 friends for the same post. This way your post will be displayed on your friends profile page as well as their homepages. You will get more and more eyeballs by this process and eventually will get more likes if your post is attractive.

Second option would be just PM me and I will send you a software and a secret idea to get atleast 1000 likes a day for a minimum charge

 

I respect your idea and the way you are going my friend. Be careful from paying likes or fans on your FaceBook. Work hard on post, open a new blog share your post on 25 most usable social media connection. From there will chance to get higher fans. So Try hard to get lots of fans on your fanpage. Thanks a lot. Buying likes can be good for some time but after some time they will unfollow. It's my experience.

 

Exactly, buying likes or fans is just for a show off. Don't expect any good results from them.

 

You can post interesting updates continuously. Others will join you faster than you think.

 

people visit facebook just for fun, so I'm not sure that FB marketing will become effective place to promote any products or offers..

Keep the wall posted with interesting subject that keep the fans attracted and communicated with your page

 

facebook is a great social site network.

 

just update some unique n interesting stuff in your page.....it works in promoting....

Go and ask other businesses for an advertisement to be placed on their Page. Try to 'Like' other businesses, and in return they will like yours, some will let you post once a day, a link to your business. If they each have over 1000 fans, then do the math. Their fan base will come to yours, if you keep your page updated and interesting to the fans. Incentive is always helpful in getting fans, and a good product.
