Promote Proxy Site? How do I do that?

Hey Guys... and Gals.

I just started a proxy site (yes, yet another) and would like to know how I could get some decent traffic to it. The site is about 12-20 hours old and it is getting 300 uniques, but I was expecting atleast 1500, like how most of you people do

What is the secret?

This is what I have done.
- Submitted my proxy to most proxy list providers
- Submitted articles to 50+ sites.
- Submitted to 2 or 3 directories (still doing it)

What more could I do now?

I just joint DP yesterday and hence I cannot make any new threads in the Link Exchange category. I would be adding the site to my signature the day after or so, after I get atleast 1000 uniques per day to my site (my site currently is not worthy for my sig )

 

Pay someone to send it out in an email, people do that here, MySpace marketing could work too.

 

Could you show us some examples of articles you have written to promote your site? I'd like to try that myself.

LOL, i think you should try Social Marketing from there yiu can get very handsome traffic.

StumbleUpon is very best way...

 

Done it like 10 hours before (considering my site to be 20 hours old)... next?

 

Bit of a crappy time to start a proxy if I'm honest, what with it being the school holidays.

 

have you used social bookmark site? it may help you

 

Some of the tips I can give :

1) Topsite Submission
2) Link Exchange (with huge traffic site ; start a thread at our LE forum)
3) Social Bookmarking
4) Mail Listing
5) Submit to Proxy.org
6) Make as DP signature & other kids related forums

And more!

So start it now and see what is the return

 

I don't think it would be use full as I don't get any good traffic myself, let alone sending it out to other sites.

Since, I cannot make a thread in the LE section (cause I am just a 2 day old member), but I am replying to many LE threads already made.

I disagree. Topsites are crap. End of story.

Check some of my threads. I have myspace advertising, and also, i have a prxoy list I can add you to.
3) Social Bookmarking
Digg is the best in my opinion. Get 10+ diggs and you get around 500uniques (mostly asia though, not really US)
4) Mail Listing
Got one of those too, pm me
5) Submit to Proxy.org
Dont' do that. It will probably get your account banned, unless you have one of those pages that stops bots (where you have to click on a link to go to a site)
6) Make as DP signature & other kids related forums
This could work, though not on DP. Not many people here need proxies, and those that do probably have their own made.

Keep us up to date on how the traffic is. I too am trying to grow a few proxies during the summer break from the school year. Lately my earnings and traffic have been all over the place, high and low. I can't seem to get any trends from my stats.
