Promo video - made in After Effects - NEED feedback

Hello guys,

I made a promo video for a client of mine. He's offline now, and I would like to get some feedback about it, see what should be changed or not.

I dont like the background, very simple

 

Sorry but when you said After Effects, I was waiting something more professional. I guess this could be made in Windows Movie Maker too. It looks way too much simple. Simple is always good but not that much for a video.

 

Yeah, pretty much agree with everything said above. Its too plain, a little boring. Make it attractive, doesnt seem to appeal right now.

 

So far, I think it looks good

A few changes I would make is putting the pictures and video clips in a display box so that it stands out more and gives it more depth and more of a 3D appeal.

But so far, I think it looks good.

The thing with After Effects is that everyone expects it to be full of effects, lights and particles, etc. (but it doesn't have to be!) If you're new to After Effects, I would say that you're on the right track. Start off making simple videos and then work your way up to more "complicated" or effects driven videos. Otherwise, you'll get frustrated very quickly lol.

No, I only made the video. I'm not a native English speaker so I had to outsource the task to someone.

 

The final version has such a more professional feel to it. Good job.

 

I think it's great - simple, clean, to the point - more importantly, it gets the message across, and that's what it's supposed to do. Well done
