Hi I'm looking for some software (either cheap or free) to manage web projects. It can be a hosted solution or a download-and-host-yourself deal (if it's in PHP/MySQL). It needs to have support for client logins and needs to be simplistic and professional. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've already Google'd around, but I'd like some third party opinions. Cheers
We are using a hosted project management solution named TeamLab. It's quite simple in use. You are enabled to give your clients access to certain projects so that they can track their status. It also includes some other features like bisuness collaboration, CRM and document management.
It seems as if no one knows the answer to this. Some project management software is free, but it seems to go approximately 25-100 dollars per month for a few users. I like evertyhing to sync with google, be able to have an APP, and be easy and quick to use. A lot of project management software is too old fashioned and designed for being the head of a large corporation. Tasks these days are smaller and more frequent. Therefore a project management solution that fits this is appropriate. The best that i can find is liquidplanner, Wrike, and clarizen. I believe clarizen is the only one with an app and it is relatively slow. However, some of these may work well as a mobile website, but this typically burns through battery and system resources much quicker as well as works slower. I am still Figuring out the 3. We perform SEO, web design, we manage social media and much more. There is some outsourcing and many variables coming together.
Actually, PayPanther, has great free project management software, in addition, they offer invoicing, CRM, time tracking, and you can access it all online from anywhere in the world. Did I mention it's completely free? Check it out: PayPanther.com
Do you mean something like this: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira ? Note: no affiliate link, just using that myself.
If you have a small team, check out Framebench (www.framebench.com) which is more of a visual way to manage your projects. No task management etc though. What it gives are simple workspaces to have clients and your team discuss on the webpages being built. This could even happen live with the TableTop Sync functionality (which I find pretty damn nice)
