    Project: Forum Revive

Here, I will provide details on how I am going to revive my completely 100% dead forum.
Its got a wealth of users and posts, but is lacking in the activity department.
To be sure it is completely dead, I have the database, and am currently using it on a new domain name.
Please feel free to ask questions, share tips, and provide encouragement!
I am hoping that this topic will not only benefit me, and my understanding of forums, but anyone else who is lacking activity on their site.
The official forum stats as of the time of this posting are below:

So, let the discussions get a rolling! :)

    Thanks,

Nope, Im just attempting to get a steady flow of new members and new posts.
I created this thread for myself, and other webmasters in the same boat.

Do you have an ongoing newsletter? If not this maybe one good way to get them back. Post an interesting and highly conflicting topic. Invite your members to give their input.

I just revived a forum that has been dead for over 2 years. Personally emailing or IM'ing the members you remember helps a lot. They will often have the contact info of other members, and the word spreads pretty quickly.
