Not sure about classes, but Java, VB and perhaps C++ would be useful.

Out of those three I would go with PHP as a first choice, the Python if you have time. Never really looked at Ruby.

    1) Work on your language and communication skills or NOBODY is going to want to work with you... when nobody can figure out what the devil you are even asking from a lack of punctuation, grammer and proper spelling, you're dooming yourself from the start.

    2) What is it you want to do? Every language has it's advantages and disadvantages depending on the task at hand. You're not going to use C++ to make a website (you could, it's just not well suited to it) nor are you going to use PHP to build a desktop application. You wouldn't make a openGL game using ASP anymore than you would make a Browser game using Pascal.

Right tool for the right job and so forth.

If you are looking into focusing on Web Development I would definitely recommend becoming familiar with JavaScript/JQuery and PHP for starters ......a quick google search will give you many good options to get you started, YouTube has a lot of excellent resources.

And to add to what Deathshadow said, if you're looking for "cofounders" who are going to work for an equity position (future "profits"), the dot com bomb blew up and no one is interested in working for nothing any more. If you can't present your VC people with a profitable working site that just needs money to get larger, your odds are about the same as a White Leghorn rooster laying a brown egg.

Most of the universities and colleges teach C or C++ first. The reason is that it makes learning any other language much easier after them. But I think otherwise. Students waste their time resolving bugs in their codes rather than learning actual programming and algorithmic thinking. Python, PHP, Java could be good choices. Dont know about VB
