Programming Tutorials Database -- Please review!

I have just launched iTutor.info, a place where you can find links to hundreds of programming tutorials on MS Access, AJAX, ASP/ASP.NET, C/C++/C#, CSS, HTML, Java, Javascript, MsSQL, MySQL, Perl/CGI, PHP, Visual Basic, and XML.

Yikes, I would switch out of dreamhost if I were you... (hopefully you have your files all backed up offline). go-daddy has virtually no downtime

Thanks for the suggestions regarding switching host, though aside from this downtime, there hasn't been any major ones so I'm fairly satisfied with them. Might consider your suggestions though in the future

Okay so.. the layout is well organized I'm also liking your logo design.

Here are my suggestions:
- Try adding more colors? OR atleast different shades of blue to the site.. it looks too monochromatic at the moment
- For your ASP icons, etc: I would add a bevel effect to them so they stick out a bit (It'll look neat, trust me )
- Is that image beside your ad legal?...
- I would sneak in one more adsense unit on your left bar

- I actually wanted it to be monochromatic, like what I did with my other sites hehe... but who knows I might add in some more shades in the future.
- I'll try to do that when I get more time with my Photoshop
- I've seen that style in a lot of sites so I assumed it was okay. Maybe I should consult with Google...
- Sounds nice, although i wouldn't want to crowd it with too much ads.

Great site. I would DEFINITELY visit that. I even bookmarked it.

More colors though, it looks so bland, and maybe a domain change. Most people won't remember a .info

Hehe, I know -- a lot of people have said that I should add in more colors, but I'd really like to have it stay monotonic. And about the domain, the .com version was of course already taken, but I really wanted the name, so I'm settling with the .info.

 

I think BlackCoder hit the nail on the head: More colors, and maybe a domain change.
