    I am looking for a program that will help me write my own game before hosting it on a server. Although i have no knowledge in the programs used to write games.

    The game that I am planning to write will be a text based MMORPG and i would like some information on where i could get my hands on a program this type and is there a possibility of a demo version before I have to buy the program itself.

    If you want to learn to program, then get Dev-C++ for windows or GCC for Linux, though they technically are the same thing.

    If you want to use a program to make a game, then, well, I can't help you.
